At Home Functional Abilities Evaluation (AHFAE) An at home functional abilities evaluation is held at an individual's home and led by a team of a kinesiologist, a registered nurse or an occupational therapist. The assessment focuses on reviewing daily living activities and objectively performing functional tests. The functional tests may include carrying and lifting to simulate requirements for grocery shopping, laundry tasks, garbage removal and other physical household activities. The results of the functional tests enable the assessment team to determine the ability of an individual to perform housekeeping, care giving tasks and activities of daily living. |
