Immunizations For Adults

Even grownups need to be immunized

Infants and children receive a regimented schedule of immunizations and as a result serious diseases like polio have essentially been eliminated in Canada. One of the reasons the childhood program is so successful is that immunization is a requirement for enrollment in daycare and the public school system.

What many of us forget, or perhaps were never told, is that teenagers and adults require immunization in the form of boosters to maintain the protection received in childhood, but as well for other diseases that aren't targeted in the younger age group programs.
