Even if you thought you were immunized, there may be a chance that the vaccine you received was not up to North American standards for triggering an immune response or that owing to improper storage it wasn't at full capacity. You can determine what diseases you have protective antibodies against by having your physician send blood away for antibody titre measurements. Or, you can discuss receiving booster doses with your doctor.
