Spring
Cleaning and Your
What to Get Rid of ? We all have medicine cabinets, cupboards, drawers (and some of us purses) that contain outdated and unused drugs. Spring-cleaning is a great time to go through your storage depots and discard all of expired, or unused drugs. The most responsible and environmentally friendly method of disposal is to take any unused portions of medication to your pharmacist who will then discard them appropriately. Do not throw them into the garbage were children or pets may be able to access them. Do not flush them down the toilet. Drugs that end up in landfill and waste water systems end up polluting the environment.
