Bug Spray
Insects, such as mosquitoes, are not only an annoying part of outdoor summer activity but with the emergence of the West Nile virus can also cause serious illness. You can help keep the mosquito population down by ensuring there is no standing water on your property. Common breeding grounds are in plugged eves, bird baths, and flower pots. Use an insect repellant containing DEET with a 10% concentration when venturing outdoors. Higher concentrations of DEET are available depending on time exposure. Bug repellant should not be used on children under 6 months. Choose tightly knit, loosely fitting clothing that insects cannot bite through when going outdoors for an extended period of time. These links provide information on the use of bug repellant. Frequently
